Question 1

How much does it cost to book a comedian?

Accepted Answer

Comedian booking fees vary based on the performer's experience, popularity, and event type. On Heritage Talent, you'll see transparent pricing guidance before submitting an offer. There are no hidden agency markups — you deal directly with the performer through our platform.

Question 2

How far in advance should I book a comedian?

Accepted Answer

Start planning early, especially for high-demand dates. Public profiles and date filters do not confirm availability. Booking depends on performer confirmation, offer acceptance, contract signing and payment; response times vary.

Question 3

What's included in the booking fee?

Accepted Answer

The buyer booking fee is separate from the talent fee and applies to talent only, not travel. Guest accounts require no paid subscription and have an 18% booking fee; Guest offers are subject to admin review. Paid plans are optional: Basic $20/month or $180/year with 15%, Elite $60/month or $600/year with 10%, and Enterprise $99/month or $999/year with 5%. Agreed travel is separate. Example only, not a performer quote: $1,000 talent plus $180 Guest booking fee is $1,180 before agreed travel or other applicable charges.

Question 4

Can I book a comedian for a private party?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can book a comedian for private parties including birthday celebrations, anniversaries, retirement parties, holiday gatherings, and more. When submitting your offer, specify your event type and any content preferences (clean, adult, or topics to avoid) so the performer can tailor their set.

Question 5

How does the payment work?

Accepted Answer

Payment is processed through Stripe after contract signing. Payout eligibility begins 24 hours after the event ends, subject to payment confirmation, cancellation, refund, dispute, hold and account checks. After payout processing begins, Stripe or bank processing may take an additional 3–5 business days before funds arrive; no bank arrival date is guaranteed. Refunds follow the signed agreement.

Question 6

Are the comedians on Heritage Talent vetted?

Accepted Answer

Yes, every comedian on our platform is vetted for professionalism, reliability, responsiveness, and event readiness. We review their material for originality and real writing ability. Our roster is built for performers who can construct a quality set — not an open directory where anyone can list themselves.

Question 7

What types of events can I book a comedian for?

Accepted Answer

Discover professional comedians for comedy clubs, theaters, corporate events, college events, casinos, cruise lines, fundraisers and private events. Compare each comedian's clips and profile to find the right fit for your audience, then send an offer. Availability and event suitability require performer or authorized representative acceptance.

Question 8

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Accepted Answer

Each performer sets their own cancellation policy, which you'll see before you confirm. The contract spells out refund terms clearly so there are no surprises. Cancellation terms vary by how far in advance you cancel relative to the event date.

Question 9

Can I request clean comedy or specific content?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you submit your event details, you can specify clean content, adult content, or topics to avoid. Performers can accept or decline based on fit, ensuring the entertainment matches your audience and event tone.

Question 10

How is Heritage Talent different from other booking sites?

Accepted Answer

Talent Booking Hub is a curated professional comedy marketplace, not an open directory. Discover verified comedians, compare clips and profiles, and submit direct offers. The performer or authorized representative reviews and accepts; both parties sign the appropriate agreements and payment is processed through Stripe. Track your booking and event details in-platform. Guided matching is optional. Performers set their rates and control acceptance; transparent buyer fees and the published performer admin deduction apply.
